We were lucky to indulge in the tranquility of this amazing lodge situated in the heart of Neluwa. It is "Pavarone Ecolodge Sinharaja" which was built over a decay. This is just a few steps away from Sinharaja Rain-forest. Once you are there, you will fell how amazing it is to be there. They've got around 8 cabins for accommodation and it feels so cool and comfortable for the stay. They have packages for your stay including lots of activities. It includes the Sinharaja rain-forest tickets with a guide, three meals, ac/non ac accommodation, hot water facilities and many more. When we are talking about the meals, it's mouthwatering Sri Lankan cuisine with so many options. We also got a chance to try their bbq options for our dinner. They gave us an excellent hospitality, to guide us with every information.
Sinharaja Forest Reserve is a national park and a biodiversity hotspot in Sri Lanka. It is of international significance and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
According to International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Sinharaja is the country's last viable area of primary tropical rain-forest. More than 60% of the trees are endemic and many of them are considered rare.
The hilly virgin rain-forest, part of the Sri Lanka lowland rain forests Eco region, was saved from the worst of commercial logging by its inaccessibility, and was designated a World Biosphere Reserve in 1978 and a World Heritage Site in 1988. The reserve's name translates as Lion Kingdom.

A magical place, with the friendliest hosts ever! The hiking, the rivers, the sounds, the food, the people, the gigantic furniture, the nice rooms, the tea on the terrace: Everything was just wonderful! We will be dreaming about Pavarone until we can return. Review on facebook
We spent two nights at this eco friendly lodge last week and thoroughly staying in the quiet. Our guide, Jagath, was very experienced and explained about the flora and fauna of the forest. The first day we walked to several waterfalls, ending with a welcome dip in a large pool by the last waterfall.we saw many birds, lizards, monkeys. The owners of the Lodge were very friendly and welcoming.
Our second visit "Another very happy two night stay at this family run eco lodge. We loved it so much two years ago that we had to come back. Ira and Anil are so lovely and so welcoming and Ira cooks wonderful and very tasty food. Our guide Jagath was also very good and we spent a very enjoyable day exploring the rainforest and the waterfalls." TripAdvisor Review
